Black lives matter.
Black voices matter.
Black stories matter.
5th Wall Productions stands in solidarity with our Black community members and all those raising their voices against police brutality and the larger system of racism and white supremacy in which we all live, work, and make art.
As white theatre artists, we recognize that we have benefitted from our own privilege, and that we have a responsibility to use that position of privilege to amplify Black voices and stories.
We are taking this time to listen, learn, and reflect on how we can be better allies. Below are some of the resources we’re reading, watching, and listening to. We invite our fellow theatre-makers, particularly white theatre makers, to join us.

Dr. DiAngelo reads from and discusses her book, White Fragility. (We also highly recommend getting your hands on the book itself!)
"A list of characteristics of white supremacy culture which show up in our organizations."
